2 Applicability of these terms and customers

These General Terms and Conditions govern the use of the online shop, the ordering process, payment, delivery, and the rights and obligations of the seller and the customer. Each order is subject to the terms published when the order is placed. Subsequent changes do not alter contracts already concluded.

Both individuals and legal entities may make purchases. A consumer is an individual purchasing for purposes outside their trade, business or profession. The provisions on the 14-day right of withdrawal and the statutory guarantee of conformity of goods apply to consumers. For customers who are not consumers, defects and other contractual matters are governed by the Slovenian Obligations Code.

Purchases through the English version of the online shop are made in English. Customers may read, save or print these terms before placing an order.

3 Customer accounts

Customers may purchase as guests or as registered users. Registration is not required to make a purchase.

Customers must provide accurate information needed to process their order and arrange delivery. Registered users are responsible for keeping their passwords secure and may update their details in their customer accounts. If you suspect misuse of your account, notify us at office@interfood-adria.eu.

4 Products and prices

Product characteristics, package contents, prices and availability are stated for each product. For food products, the legally required product information, including ingredients, allergens and storage conditions where applicable, is available before purchase. Information that must be provided upon delivery appears on the packaging or accompanies the product.

All prices are in euros and include VAT. Delivery charges are not included in product prices and are displayed separately before the order is placed. Customers can see the total amount payable before confirming their order.

The prices in effect when the order is placed apply to that order. If an obvious error occurs, we notify the customer and resolve the matter in accordance with applicable law; we do not unilaterally change a contract already concluded.

5 Ordering process and conclusion of the contract

Customers select products and add them to their basket. Before placing an order, they may review their selection, change quantities or remove products. They then enter their order details, delivery address and, where necessary, a separate billing address, and select a payment method.

Before confirming the order, customers may check and correct the information entered, review all charges, read these terms and confirm their agreement to them. They place the order by clicking a button that clearly indicates an obligation to pay.

After placing an order, customers receive an order confirmation at the email address provided. The contract is concluded when the customer receives our email accepting the order. From that point, the agreed prices and terms are binding on both parties.

No later than delivery of the goods, we provide the customer with confirmation of the concluded contract by email, including order, payment and delivery details. This confirmation also contains the legally required pre-contractual information, unless the customer already received that information on a durable medium before the contract was concluded. We retain order information and the contract text electronically. Customers may request a copy of the documentation at office@interfood-adria.eu; registered users may also view their orders in their customer accounts.

If we cannot deliver an ordered product, we notify the customer. Any substitution is agreed separately with the customer. If the contract is terminated because of non-delivery, we refund payments already received without undue delay.

6 Payment

The available payment method depends on the delivery country. For delivery to Slovenia, cash on delivery and card payment are available. For delivery to the other EU countries listed in the Delivery section, only card payment is available.

·       cash on delivery upon receipt of the shipment, for delivery to Slovenia only;

·       payment by card through Stripe during checkout, for all countries to which we deliver.

When paying on delivery, customers pay the amount due upon receiving the shipment. The payment methods accepted for payment on delivery depend on the options offered by the delivery service. Any additional charges we impose on the customer are clearly displayed before the order is placed.

Card payments are processed through Stripe. If payment is unsuccessful, the customer receives an appropriate notification and may try again or use another available payment method.

7 Delivery

We deliver products to Slovenia and to the following EU countries: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czechia, Denmark, France, Greece, Croatia, Italy, Luxembourg, Hungary, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia and Spain. We do not deliver to any other countries. Delivery in Slovenia is provided by GLS. Collection in person is not available. Delivery and payment method availability are determined by the delivery address.

The standard delivery charge is EUR 3.99 for Slovenia and EUR 7.99 for the other EU countries listed above. Both amounts include VAT. Delivery is free for orders where the value of the products exceeds EUR 40.00, in every country to which we deliver. For a product value of EUR 40.00 or less, the stated charge for the delivery country applies. The final delivery charge is displayed before the order is placed.

The usual delivery time for products in stock sent to Slovenia is 2 to 3 working days after the contract is concluded or, where the customer has selected card payment, after successful payment. Delivery times for the other listed EU countries depend on the destination and are communicated to the customer before the order is placed. If a different delivery time applies to a particular product, the customer is informed before placing the order. Unless otherwise agreed, we deliver the goods no later than 30 days after the contract is concluded. We notify the customer of circumstances affecting the agreed delivery time.

The seller is responsible for fulfilling the obligation to deliver the goods to the customer. The risk of loss of or damage to the goods passes to the consumer when the goods are physically received by the consumer or by a third party designated by the consumer who is not the carrier.

If you notice damage to the parcel upon delivery, we recommend notifying the delivery driver, requesting a damage report and taking photographs. Please report damaged, missing or incorrect products to office@interfood-adria.eu. The absence of a report from the delivery service does not exclude the consumer's statutory rights.

If we do not deliver within the agreed period, the consumer may give us an appropriate additional period for delivery. If we still fail to deliver within that period, the consumer may terminate the contract. In cases specified by law, the consumer may also terminate the contract without granting an additional period.

8 Invoices

Customers receive their invoices electronically at the email address provided when placing the order. By accepting these terms, customers agree to receive invoices electronically. The invoice states the product prices and all charges associated with the purchase.

Please check that your billing details are correct before placing an order. If you notice an error on an invoice, contact us at office@interfood-adria.eu.

9 Promotional codes

Customers enter promotional codes in the designated field before confirming their order. The validity period, discount amount and any restrictions are stated in the relevant offer. One promotional code may be used per order unless the offer expressly states otherwise.

When a product is returned, the price actually paid after the discount is taken into account. A discount is not itself a monetary payment and cannot be redeemed for cash.

10 Withdrawal from the contract without giving a reason

When purchasing online, consumers have the right to notify us that they are withdrawing from the contract within 14 days of receiving the goods, without giving a reason. If an order is delivered in several shipments, the period starts when the last shipment or the last item is received.

You may notify us of your withdrawal by sending an unequivocal statement to office@interfood-adria.eu or by post to the seller's registered office. You may also submit your statement using the online Withdrawal from the contract form, which is also accessible from the website footer. An unequivocal statement is sufficient to withdraw; use of the prescribed form is not compulsory. To help us process your withdrawal, please provide your full name, order number and the products concerned. To meet the deadline, it is sufficient to send the statement before the withdrawal period expires. If you notify us using the online form, we acknowledge receipt of your withdrawal by email without delay.

The right of withdrawal is not excluded merely because a product is food. However, consumers do not have the right to withdraw without giving a reason in the case of goods liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly, or sealed goods that are not suitable for return for health protection or hygiene reasons if the seal is broken after delivery.

Consumers may return unopened products with a longer shelf life where no statutory exception applies. Opening the outer shipping packaging does not in itself mean that the product seal has been broken. These restrictions do not exclude rights relating to goods that do not conform to the contract, are damaged or have been supplied incorrectly.

11 Returning goods and refunds

After notifying us of their withdrawal, consumers must return the goods without undue delay and no later than a further 14 days after the notification. The return is timely if the goods are sent before that period expires.

Address for returning goods:
GLS Fulfillment
Pot k sejmišču 30
1231 Ljubljana – Črnuče
Slovenia
Please mark the parcel: Vračila Interfood Adria.

Consumers bear the direct cost of returning goods when withdrawing without giving a reason. We do not reimburse return shipping costs in such cases. The goods should be adequately protected against damage in transit. Consumers are responsible for any diminished value resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods. The statutory exceptions concerning unsealed goods apply regardless of this provision.

If the consumer withdraws from the entire contract, we refund all payments received, including the cost of the least expensive standard delivery option we offered. We issue the refund without undue delay and no later than 14 days after receiving notice of withdrawal. We may withhold the refund until we receive the returned goods or evidence that they have been sent back, whichever occurs first.

We refund payments using the same payment method used for the purchase, unless the consumer expressly agrees to another method at no additional cost. For orders paid on delivery, we agree with the consumer to issue the refund by bank transfer and obtain the necessary bank details.

12 Lack of conformity of goods and complaints

The seller is liable for any lack of conformity that exists at the time of delivery and becomes apparent within two years of delivery. The assessment takes account of the nature of the food product, the agreed characteristics, its shelf life and the specified storage conditions. This liability does not mean that a food product remains fit for consumption for two years regardless of its stated expiry date.

Consumers must notify us of a lack of conformity within two months of discovering it and describe it precisely. Notifications may be sent to office@interfood-adria.eu. Please provide the order number or other proof of purchase, the product concerned and a description of the issue. Where possible, include photographs and details of the batch and expiry date. Photographs are not a compulsory condition for exercising statutory rights. You must allow us to inspect the goods.

If a lack of conformity becomes apparent within one year of delivery, it is presumed to have existed at delivery unless we prove otherwise or that presumption is incompatible with the nature of the goods or the lack of conformity.

Consumers may initially request that the goods be brought into conformity free of charge through repair or replacement, unless the chosen remedy is impossible or involves disproportionate costs. For food products, replacement is usually the appropriate remedy. We restore conformity within a reasonable period, not exceeding 30 days from notification. Where legally justified, this period may be extended by up to 15 days; we communicate the reasons and the length of the extension before the original period expires.

If we do not restore conformity in accordance with the law or are entitled to refuse both repair and replacement, the lack of conformity remains despite an attempt to remedy it, it is sufficiently serious, or it is clear that we will not remedy it in time and without significant inconvenience, the consumer may request a proportionate price reduction or terminate the contract. If a lack of conformity becomes apparent less than 30 days after delivery, the consumer may terminate the contract and request a refund without first requesting replacement. The contract cannot be terminated for a merely minor lack of conformity; the seller bears the burden of proving that it is minor.

The seller bears the necessary costs of a justified complaint, including shipping and transport. If the consumer has already paid these costs, we reimburse them. If the existence of a lack of conformity is disputed, we notify the consumer in writing within eight days of receiving the claim. When the contract is terminated because of a lack of conformity, we refund the amount paid no later than eight days after receiving the goods or evidence that they have been returned. In the case of a price reduction, we refund the relevant amount within eight days of receiving the claim. Rights arising from a lack of conformity expire two years after the seller is notified.

Rights arising from a lack of conformity are not restricted by the 14-day withdrawal period or by the exceptions that apply to withdrawal without giving a reason.

13 Personal data and cookies

We process personal data for the purposes and on the legal bases described in our Privacy Policy. Information about the use of cookies and the management of consent is published on the Cookies page.

Accepting these terms and placing an order do not constitute consent to receive marketing messages or to the installation of non-essential cookies. Where consent is required, we obtain it separately and allow it to be withdrawn.

14 Complaints and dispute resolution

Questions and complaints may be sent to office@interfood-adria.eu. To help us process your complaint, please provide your order number and a description of the issue. We handle complaints confidentially and endeavour to reach an amicable resolution. We comply with statutory deadlines when handling claims.

INTERFOOD ADRIA d.o.o. does not recognise any provider of out-of-court consumer dispute resolution as competent to resolve disputes that a consumer may initiate under the Slovenian Out-of-Court Resolution of Consumer Disputes Act.

The law of the Republic of Slovenia applies. This provision does not restrict the protection afforded to consumers by mandatory rules or their rights concerning court jurisdiction. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts determined by the applicable rules.

15 Changes to these terms

We may amend these terms; a new version applies to orders placed after it takes effect. Contracts already concluded remain subject to the terms in effect when the order was placed.

Effective date: 29 September 2026.
