This policy explains how the Interfood Adria online shop uses cookies and similar technologies, their purposes and how you can manage your choices. We use cookies to operate the shop and, with your consent, to measure website visits using Google Analytics.

1 Controller and contact

The controller of the website and personal data is INTERFOOD ADRIA, trgovina in storitve, d.o.o., Kotnikova ulica 5, 1000 Ljubljana, Slovenia. For questions about cookies and personal data protection, email office@interfood-adria.eu.

2 What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored in your browser when you visit a website. They support functions such as the shopping basket, maintaining your session and remembering your consent choices. Cookies and their associated identifiers may constitute personal data; information collected through them is not necessarily anonymous.

Session cookies normally expire when your browser session ends. Persistent cookies have an expiry period, but you can delete them earlier. Actual storage on your device also depends on your browser’s settings and restrictions.

3 Purposes and consent

Essential cookies support services you request, such as the basket, login, checkout and remembering your cookie choices. Under Article 225 of the Slovenian Electronic Communications Act (ZEKom-2), consent is not required for cookies strictly necessary to transmit a communication or provide a service you expressly request. Any associated personal data is processed on an appropriate GDPR basis, in particular performance of a contract or our legitimate interest in operating a secure shop, depending on the purpose.

Analytics cookies help us measure visits and understand how the online shop is used. Through Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, we may measure pages viewed, interactions, traffic sources, approximate location, and device and browser information. Identifiers distinguish visitors and sessions. The legal basis for processing personal data for analytics is your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR.

We enable analytics cookies and the associated processing only after you actively consent. Analytics is not a condition of purchasing. Continuing to browse or closing the banner does not, in itself, constitute consent. An essential consent cookie records your choice.

4 Cookie overview

The overview below distinguishes shop cookies, the consent cookie and Google Analytics 4 cookies. Part of a PrestaShop or Google Analytics cookie name may vary by shop or data stream. For Google Analytics, the provider’s default lifetime is shown; the actual setting must be confirmed for the data stream and tags in use.

Cookie

Provider and purpose

Lifetime

PrestaShop-*

Interfood Adria; user session and shop operation, including the basket. Essential cookie.

20 days under the currently verified server setting.

PHPSESSID

Interfood Adria; server session identifier. Essential cookie.

Current server-set expiry: 5 August 2083. The browser may limit its lifetime.

iacookie

Interfood Adria; remembering cookie choices. Essential cookie.

7 days.

_ga

Google Analytics; distinguishing users. Analytics cookie; with consent.

Default: 2 years; actual setting requires confirmation. The browser may limit its lifetime.

_ga_<ID>

Google Analytics; maintaining session state. Analytics cookie; with consent.

Default: 2 years; actual setting requires confirmation. The browser may limit its lifetime.

Google Analytics cookie settings may renew the expiry period when you return. Settings in Google Analytics or Google Tag Manager can change the default lifetime, and your browser may impose further limits. See Google’s explanation Google Analytics 4 cookies for further information.

If you choose to pay by card, the Stripe payment service is used. During payment, Stripe may use cookies or similar technologies to process the payment, maintain security and prevent fraud. Its processing is explained in the Stripe Privacy Policy. Analytics or marketing cookies from a payment provider are not automatically treated as essential merely because they are associated with payment.

5 Managing and withdrawing consent

The banner offers “Accept all”, “Reject all” and “Manage individual preferences”. “Reject all” refuses non-essential cookies; essential cookies remain enabled. In individual preferences, you can choose analytics and confirm your choice using “Accept selected”.

You can change or withdraw consent at any time using the cookie settings button on the Cookies page. Withdrawal is free of charge and does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal. When you withdraw analytics consent, new analytics processing based on that consent stops; withdrawal does not, in itself, delete all previously collected data. To exercise your rights, email office@interfood-adria.eu.

You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Deleting the consent cookie may cause the banner to appear again. Blocking essential cookies may affect the basket, login or checkout. Deleting cookies from your device does not, in itself, delete information already sent to the analytics provider.

6 Analytics data retention

A cookie’s lifetime in your browser is separate from data retention in Google Analytics. In our account, event data retention is set to 2 months and user data retention to 14 months. Reset on new user activity is enabled, so new activity restarts the retention period for the user’s identifier. Google deletes data whose retention period has expired through its regular monthly process. These settings do not limit retention of standard aggregated reports.

7 Providers and personal data protection

Interfood Adria uses the shop and consent cookies. Google provides Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager for analytics. Google Analytics cookies are normally set on our website’s domain, but associated analytics data is sent to Google. See How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services for further details.

Google may also process data outside the European Economic Area. Information about providers, international transfers, safeguards and your rights is provided in our Privacy Policy. For further information or to exercise your rights, email office@interfood-adria.eu.

8 Policy updates

We update this policy when cookie use or relevant rules change. The current version is published on this page. Where a new use requires consent, we obtain it before enabling that processing.
